Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A.

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. comprises 5 coal mines situated in the southern part of Upper Silesian Mining Region. The mines are now main producers of Polish coking coal. They are modern, and are also equipped with cutting edge technology and machines as well as have sufficiently prepared executive staff. In order to maintain stable quality parameters of coal, modern technology of enriching the output is used and the quality is controlled by the Testing Lab, possessing the Certificate ISO/IEC25:1990.
The coal is characterized by low contents of ash, humidity, sulphur and phosphorus and high sinterability and plastylcity. Such parameters make the coal suitable as a basic raw material for production of high quality blast-furnace coke characterized by low reactivity against CO2 and high mechanical endurance.
